Friends of Kootenay received this photo and note from Alan Dibb, Kootenay's Wildlife Biologist.

"Here is a picture looking east from the summit of the Kindersley-SinclairTrail this afternoon - July 20, 2012. Still a few snow patches and some avalanche debris on the trail, but overall quite good traveling now."

Kindersley/Sinclair loop trial is a full day hiking adventure, exploring a mix of forested valleys, open slide paths and high alpine ridges. The 16.5 km trail leads hikers on one of the most scenic day trips in the mountain parks and with an elevation gain of 1,050 meters it is also the most strenuous trail in Kootenay National Park.
