Remote cameras are an emerging technology that enables biologists in our mountain national parks to study certain aspects of wildlife ecology and behavior without having to capture or disturb their study animals.

Learn how remote cameras are used to monitor park wildlife, along with other wildlife monitoring projects and view the 2011 Peoples' Choice Award winning images from Parks Canada's network of 35 remote wildlife cameras.
