Yellow Columbine is one of the most familiar wildflowers in Kootenay. It distinctive shape makes it unmistakable and cannot be confused with other wildflowers.

Native to mountain meadows, open woods, and alpine slopes of the Rocky Mountains. It is now showing along many of Kootenay’s trails.
